Go behind the scenes of our Phresh Spring 2016 Shoot! This season, in honor of how Spring brings the vibrance back into the world, we chose to focus on color and shine.
This week we chat with Jen about her gorgeous blonde transformation on her model Abbie.
Jen, tell us about Abbie’s amazing color change?
Well, you’ve actually seen Abbie before, in our phresh Fall shoot, but she was a coppery redhead then. Abbie wanted to switch it up and try out being a blonde, which looks just as amazing on her as red!
So what did you do to her color for the shoot?
She’s been slowly transitioning with full foils, so she was fully blonde by this point, but I wanted her to be a true platinum blonde for the shoot. So I did a classic bleach and tone to take her to that next level. I used Wella haircolor’s Blondor lightener and then toned with Illumina to get that cool tone.
Tell us about the styling for the shoot. What products and tools did you use to create the look?
A 1 inch curling iron was used to create loose waves. She ended with a little bit of a vintage flair the way the waves fell, partially covering her face. Oribe Impermeable Anti Humidity Spray was put through the hair roots to ends to fight frizz and then Soft Laquer Heat Styling Spray was used as a protectant and to give a high shine finish. We also featured Jane Iredale’s Glow Time BB cream, Purepressed mineral powder, and Flawless Purepressed blush from the new spring collection.
